One of the most awe-inspiring aspects of botanicals is that they carry the unique properties of the life force that helped them survive in their origin. Helichrysum, known as Everlasting or Immortelle, has a strong will to bloom vibrant yellow flowers in hot, dry terrain. The color and aroma of the dried flowers remain vibrant for decades, and the essential oil has a time-defying effect as well. 

Vetiver essential oil is one of the most important notes in perfumery. This base note has a soft and almost powdery earthiness that adds depth to any blend. Emotionally grounding, it is the perfect tonic to calm the senses as though we've just planted our feet in the earth.

A powerhouse in its own right, Sweet Orange has antiviral properties from its natural makeup of the monoterpene hydrocarbon, limonene. Like a natural medicine with a built-in spoonful of sugar bliss! As a natural perfumer and aromatherapy formulator, Sweet Orange is among my most treasured aroma notes.

Patchouli is a botanical whose travels are as rich and complex as its aroma. Visions of dancers swirling their shawls at Woodstock come to mind upon the first whiff of this unmistakable aroma, yet exotic, patchouli scented shawls made their debut a century earlier.
